When you're traveling through the bush, it's easy to lose contact with what's happening in the rest of the world. We haven't seen any kind of news in the last few weeks, and finally decided that we should buy a newspaper and see what's been happening in the world.
We bought a copy of the Sunday Standard, which is supposed to be the most 'serious' of all the newspapers available in Botswana as it's published by the BBC. We'll let you judge for yourselves - the photos below are of the most interesting stories we found.
(Nicki, this post is totally for you - as soon as we started reading, we knew you would love these stories.)

Let's hope that the rest of the world is faring better than what we've learned from these articles.
Wow! This is hilarious and sad at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI already commented on this, but either it was blocked because of inappropriate content (hmmmm...) or it just didn't work when I posted it. ANYWAY, this is awesome!!! I really want the Forest Grove newspaper to start printing some of these articles from the Sunday Standard. That is some highly entertaining stuff right there! SO glad you shared this!!!
